In recent years I’ve developed a niche as a destination wedding photographer. Although most of my weddings are still in the UK, a significant number take place at some of the most amazing and inspiring locations around the world. I’m very lucky to be able to combine my genuine love of travel with meeting new people at a great time in their life.
Italy has been the most popular location I’ve photographed in, with weddings in Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast, Lake Garda and Rome to name a few of the highlights. My wife Marie and I keep threatening to start Italian lessons as we love the country so much and visit so often!
Over the last couple of years however, my travels have taken me a lot further afield to weddings in Canada, Morocco, Greece, France, Ibiza and several weddings in the USA. It’s not just about the locations though; an overseas wedding is always more than just one day, it’s a whole weekend. Whether it’s being able to meet people casually the night before, or staying to shoot an after-party the following day, there is always an amazing atmosphere as friends and family have made such and effort to fly in and are really excited about their time together.
Being a destination wedding photographer is about trying to get a feel of the location into the pictures as much as possible, and being able to hand over a large wedding album that does just that, is a really satisfying feeling.
Do get in touch if you would like to discuss your destination wedding, and receive a bespoke quote. I’m excited to hear from you!
