James & Caroline are a great pair, and their adventurous nature and links to the south of France meant the Domaine de la Rose in Provence was the natural choice for this beautiful wedding. French chic is the only way to describe the visual feast we were lucky to photograph, with stunning details and an incredible dress to make our job a lot easier!  We headed off before sunset in search of a poppy field and found exactly that and so much more, before heading back to the venue for some amazing speeches and songs written just for the big day. Although I shoot in Europe regularly, it was my first wedding in Provence, and I can't wait to get back for more of that scenery and wonderful golden light!
I've been out to the Amalfi coast a few times now, but it always takes my breath away when you first see the views of the coastline from high up in the hills.  Emma and John chose to get married at the grand church in the central square, before a walk up to Villa Eva with it's incredible position overlooking the sea. I really enjoy being a Ravello wedding photographer; any wedding where I can start the morning off with great coffee and pastries in the sun before getting my gear together is a winner in my eyes! The day itself had a really happy feel with lots of family and friends making the trip to share their special day, and the great atmosphere carried right on into the night with some excellent speeches and a killer dance party!  Thanks for making us feel so welcome guys, and we loved sharing all the pictures with you!
It's been a while since I blogged, as I've been travelling extensively in 2013 with lots of amazing destination weddings to share soon! So first things first, Maria and Nick got married in Marrakech in May, with a little help from their very cute little son Sam!  I'd visited Marrakech once before, but not for a wedding and getting to spend time in the beautiful Riad Charai in the heart of the old city was incredible. It's such a contrast from the busy streets to be inside a classic Moroccan Riad and it's the perfect setting for an intimate wedding. I know Maria through the photography world alreday as she is a wedding photographer herself and I was very humbled when she asked me to capture her special day.   For some portraits we took the time in the evening to head over to the Jardin Majorelle, which is an incredible house owned by Yves Saint Laurent, full of amazing coloured walls and crazy plants - the perfect backdrop for Marrakech wedding photos. I had a lot of fun on this day as I hope you'll see and here are just a small collection of photos from this very special wedding...
