Working as a Barnsley House wedding photographer is a pretty nice job, all told. The Hotel itself is one of my absolute favourites in England, a perfect example of an elegant country house. When I’m not shooting here, I’ve visited for dinner on more than one occasion!
On the wedding day I really enjoy arriving early to capture lots of scene-setting details, as the gardens at Barnsley House are so stunning. Cotswolds weddings are one of my specialities, and because my coverage is unlimited I start early to capture all of this.
Off To Church
There are so many pretty villages in the Cotswolds, each with a beautiful church at their centre. Here is St Andrews in Cold Aston, where this happy couple travelled to in a cute retro car and classic double-decker bus.
Barnsley House Drone Aerial Shot
One of the greatest things about a Cotswolds wedding is the classic English countryside garden reception. It was fun to pop a little drone into the air to capture an aerial angle of the hotel for Katharine and Pete. The guests enjoyed a laid back champagne reception with plenty of yummy canapés. As a Barnsley House wedding photographer I love this time to quietly capture the true essence of the wedding day. It’s lovely to slip away with the bride and groom during the reception, to the quieter parts of the grounds to make some great portraits too.
Lazy Summer Evenings
On a warm summers evening what could be better than gathering by the candle lit pond after dinner. Here the guests enjoyed sparklers with the happy couple cut the cake, before the party began in earnest!
I always stay late at Barnsley House weddings, to capture things right to the end! I love covering the dance floor and these are often some of my couple’s favourite photos from the whole wedding!
If you’d like to get in touch to discuss your own wedding at Barnsley House, I’d love to hear from you.
