As a regular Botleys Mansion wedding photographer I love how different each wedding can be at this lovely venue. I’ve shot small and large events, ceremonies in the Blue Room, the Atrium and even outside, and seen every kind of entertainment you could imagine. The one thing they all have in common is a really stylish but relaxed feel, as the team at Botleys Mansion really make sure everything looks great and runs like clockwork behind the scenes.
One of my favourite areas to make great pictures is the open field area in front of the house. You have to cross a little bridge to access it from the area by the fountain, so it’s a nice way to escape the reception and have a calm walk among the flowers and trees and capture some really pretty portraits.
BOTLEYS MANSION WEDDINGS
The Atrium is a great space for the evening receptions, and I really love capturing the dancing at every wedding I shoot. Having been a Botleys Mansion wedding photographer for some years I’ve seen various setups for this room at night and I think the best option is having a central dance floor if logistically possible. The photos can look amazing taken from a higher angle on the stairs, and it leaves the side rooms free for seating, but keeps everyone close by for a great ambience.
