wedding in lower slaughter

Emily and Dan had a truly beautiful wedding. Great weather, great friends and family, and a gorgeous setting at Lords of the Manor.   There’s absolutely nowhere better than the Cotswolds for a wedding when the sun is shining. The colours of the local stone, the pretty gardens and amazing views are fantastic for photos. As a regular Lords of the Manor wedding photographer I love getting to shoot in the nearby villages, and Lower Slaughter is definitely one of the absolutely prettiest hamlets in the country.

We started the day in the lovely bridal suite where Emily was surrounded by her girls helping her get ready. Meanwhile, Dan was in the other half of the hotel with his groomsmen.  I loved hopping between the different sides of the preparations, helping them exchange surprise gifts as we went!  Next, it was onto the church via a classic Rolls Royce wedding car. A very glamorous crowd had assembled ready to watch Emily walk down the aisle!  Take a look in the pictures below…

Wedding Photos in Upper & Lower Slaughter

We all headed off to a nearby field on the way back to Upper Slaughter for some stunning pictures before heading back to the Lords of the Manor for the wedding reception. My friend fellow photographer Mary from the US oined me for this wedding . She was keen to see what an English wedding was all about, and we had a great time shooting together. I think she really loved all the cute Cotswold villages we took in throughout the day.

Party Time

What a fantastic day. I love staying to the very end of each wedding to capture the real feel of the day. I firmly believe the story isn’t told properly unless you approach it this way.

If you’re getting married here in the Cotswolds and need an experienced Lords of the Manor wedding photographer, please get in touch. I’d love to hear from you.
