A Kalkan wedding – Natasha & Grant

Kalkan wedding photo of the ceremony

I’d never been to Turkey for a wedding before, or even heard of the town of Kalkan, so this trip was a real eye-opener in all the right ways. Kalkan’s setting on the coast is incredible, with crystal clear waters surrounding the town. The Mavi Koy villa where Natasha and Grant chose to hold their wedding has an amazing situation on the bay.

I’ve photographed Natasha quite a few times in her job as a model, and getting to meet Grant and all of her amazing friends made this is a fantastic few days in one of the most incredible settings in the Mediterranean. I feel super lucky to be a destination photographer shooting all over Europe, including this fabulous Kalkan wedding.

It was seriously warm work heading up and down the hillside for the ceremony, but so worth it when you have the sea right next to you and that amazing view. We were even joined by a passing snorkeller just in time for the vows!  A laid back day of cocktails and sumptuous Turkish food made for an amazing afternoon, with picture perfect views everywhere you turn. It’s safe to say I hope this isn’t the last Kalkan wedding I get to go shoot!

Kalkan Wedding Style

It’s safe to say this place took my breath away. Grant and Natasha have now moved out there to live and work, so they get to enjoy it every day. Beach weddings are a rare treat to capture when you’re based in England, but I’m always open to throwing my cameras in my suitcase and flying off to any part of the world that I can capture an amazing love story.

Do drop me line below if you’re having your wedding Kalkan and are looking for an adventure-seeking photographer. My passport is at the ready!
